Shashi Shekhar Sharma I.A.S. Director NATIONAL BOOK TRUST, INDIA Mr. Shashi S. Sharma is an officer belonging to the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), 1985 batch, Bihar cadre. He has worked in various senior Administrative capacities in the state of Bihar and in Government of India since 1985. His area of interest includes literature, philosophy and religion. Mr. Sharma has authored the following publications: ‘Oh My God: The Nature of Divine Faultlines’ a book on comparative religion published by Rupa & Co., New Delhi, 2002 ‘Is Bhanwar Ke Par’ (Collection of Hindi Poems) published by Radhakrishna Publication; New Delhi, 2002 ‘Caliphs and Sultans’ a book of medieval history (in press). Mr. Sharma is proficient in English, Hindi and Urdu He also writes short stories & essays in various journals and has keen interest in Bhojpuri folk music, folk theatre of Bihar, poetry recitation and panel discussions.
